From Seed To Fruitfulness Part 2
We said in the last session that we need to declare and decree what is in the seed, and that we have what God has deposited within us. It's in the form, as I said, of seed. The Bible says we are to protect our heart with all diligence—that's the soil of our heart, what we plant. Protect our heart with all diligence, for out of it, out of the soil of your spirit, come the issues of life or the reality of things.
When the seed says we are more than conquerors, that's the seed of God's word: that we are more than conquerors in Christ Jesus. That's what we say; we don't say anything else. When the seed says we're raised up far above all principality and powers or the devil's work, that's what we say. When the seed says, "By His stripes we are healed" (Isaiah 53:5 and 1 Peter 2:24), that's what we say. Let me give you a little gold nugget here: the more joyfully and excitedly you say these things, with boldness and with a smile on your face, the faster the seed will grow and release its potential.
The less of an attitude of confidence, faith, and joy you choose to express, the slower the growth rate of the seed being productive. I want you to think of God as a parent and us as parents. If you have children and if the children are all excited and happy about things that you said you're going to do, then that moves you with excitement and joy yourself in making it come about. Why? Because your children are so honoring you, believing that your character is noble and that you will keep your word. Your integrity is on the line; you don't want to disappoint them.
Now, here's one last thing I'd like to say about the seed. In the natural, some seeds can produce roots that are actually powerful enough to break through rock, granite, or anything else. What am I saying? Your problems to you may seem solid as a rock. God's word, however, and the seed of His word and promises—when faith is applied—will break that difficulty you have and push it out of the way. It will crush it. Nothing can stand against it, for it's the seed of God's word and its power contained within.
It may seem minuscule—just reading a Bible verse, oh, it's "just mere words." Somebody once said to me, "No, it is the potential of God." So say after me, my friends, as we close this series:
I am what God says I am.
I can do what God says I can do.
I am more than a conqueror in Christ Jesus.
That's what I am, and nothing can defeat me.
If God is for me, nothing can stand against me.
The Lord is on my side, and I will not fear.
Greater is He—Jesus—who is in me than he who is in the world.
I have authority over all the power of the devil, and I resist him, and he—the devil—does flee from me.
Through faith and patience, I do obtain the promises of God fulfilled.
I cannot be conquered or denied, for the Lord is on my side.
The battle is the Lord's, but the victory is mine.
I do not have a spirit of fear, but I have a spirit of power and of love and of a sound, peaceful mind.
I trust in the Lord with all my heart, and I lean not to my own understanding.
I tell my own understanding many times to "shut up, be quiet, hold your peace."
I'll stay full of the joy of the Lord at all times, at all times, at all times, at all times, and I'll never think of myself as defeated again.
Okay, now we could go on and on, saying what other seeds of God's word say to us, but that's by declaring and decreeing them—that's watering that seed. By holding fast to it with all tenacity, plant the seed of God's word in your spirit and mind, and water His seed with your thanksgiving and praise. As I say, hold fast to them with all tenacity and see if life doesn't make a good change for you.
